KOHAT: Elders of Sheikh Allah Dad union council here on Thursday demanded judicious compensation for their land acquired for Zamir Gul Dam and quality test of a newly-built bridge.

Speaking at an open court of deputy commissioner, they said they had not been paid honestly by the revenue and irrigation departments for their land utilised for the dam for over a decade despite several appeals.

They asked for demarcation of disputed land between Seen and Tora Stana areas. They also complained about shortage of staff in the educational institutions and BHUs in the union council.

He asked the concerned authorities to submit to him a report about quality test of the bridge within a week and resolve the issues like shortage of teachers and health staff.
