TAXILA: A man was sentenced to death by a court in Fatehjang for murdering an eight-year-old child after sexually assaulting him.

The convict, Hafiz Abul Haye, has also been sentenced to life imprisonment. On April 20 last year, Haye took the boy to his seminary, sexually assaulted and later strangled him to death. Afterwards, he threw the child’s body in a well.

The judge, Dr Sajida Ahmed Choudhry, pronounced the verdict following completion of arguments by counsel for both sides.
