New Star Wars documentary coming next year

Next year a new documentary will be released that will dig into one of Star Wars’ most infamous programmes — the making of the Star Wars Holiday Special. It was released between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back.

Through the years though, dedicated fans have found copies of this film and it has become legendary in its own way. Now, this legend will be set in stone with A Disturbance in the Force. It will give a behind the scenes look at the making of the Star Wars Holiday Special.

The team has gotten a plethora of the original production team to share their experiences. There will be an interview with Peter Mayhew and some more interviews that directors would like to get. This includes Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, or Jon Favreau and of course George Lucas himself. At this time a specific release date is unknown, or where it will be released.

Shawn Mendes, Justin Bieber team up

Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber team up in the new song “Monster” and reflect on the downsides of celebrity while singing from atop a pedestal in a storm. The singers question how fame lifts them up and tears them down.

In an interview recently, Mendes said he wrote, “Monster” while “coming off the back of a couple big songs” and being “so driven” by ego, but feeling like something was not right.

“It’s about how society can put celebrities up on a pedestal and watch them fall and it seems to be this entertainment thing.

“Monster” appears on Mendes’ forthcoming fourth studio album, Wonder.

Taylor Swift continues re-recording old music

Taylor Swift addressed Scooter Braun’s sale of her master recordings on Twitter, and has recently started re-recording her old music.

Braun had purchased Swift’s former record label Big Machine Label Group and effectively the singer’s master recordings in June 2019. Swift expressed discomfort at Braun owning her masters, her being unable to own them herself.

“I have recently begun re-recording my older music and it has already proven to be both exciting and creatively fulfilling. I have plenty of surprises in store. I want to thank you guys for supporting me through this ongoing saga, and I can’t wait for you to hear what I’ve been dreaming up,” she continued.

The re-recordings would allow Swift to own a version of her old music.
