LAHORE: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) on Saturday registered first information reports (FIRs) against four ‘front men’ of PML-N MNA Rana Mubasher and two former MPAs Waheed Gul and Malik Saiful Malook in different land fraud investigation.

An [ACE] spokesperson said: “In a vigorous drive against land mafia backed by influential political leaders of PML-N MNA Rana Mubasher and two ex-MPAs Waheed Gul and Malik Saiful Malook, the ACE has registered four cases for incurring millions of rupees loss to public exchequer.”

He said the move was taken after the Lahore deputy commissioner had sent four references to the DG ACE requesting for criminal proceedings against all those involved in the massive land grab.

“Saiful Malook Khokhar had been illegally occupying over 80 kanals of precious ownerless property by preparing fake heirs and getting it transferred to his front men UC Chairmen Mobeen Dawood, Afzal Khan and Mubashar in collusion with the revenue officials concerned. The property originally belonged to a Parsi Dinshaje family who had expired in 1918 but was fraudulently taken over by front men of Saiful Malook Khokhar in 2015 by showing fake heirs. Now, the property has been declared ‘nazool’ land and will be retrieved from illegal occupants and ‘tawan’ will be ensured.”

The ACE further said Waheed Gul had got constructed illegal marquees in Harbanspura on state land through his front man Tariq causing millions of rupees loss to state land. Mr. Boota, a front man of Rana Mubashar, had grabbed over 64 kanals of state land worth billions of rupees in the Cantt area.

Commenting on the matter, DG ACE Gohar Nafees said action would be taken against all those involved. He said raids were being carried out to arrest the culprits to recover the state loss.
