Illiteracy is such a big curse in our society. Is a cultural day more important then innocent lives? Covid19 is threatening the entire world and we are celebrating cultural day without SOPs.

There is a pandemic on, people are dieing, social distance is suggested by WHO and governement and what does PPP do to divert their failures by encourage mixing, gathering and spreading covid 19.

It is refreshing to see some happiness and joy on the streets for a change. It would have been prudent if everyone wore the face covering. Perhaps someone could have sold ajrak masks in the gathering.
I have travelled around the world and seen very few nations as dedicated to their culture as Sindhis.
The civilization dating back to thousands of years is as rich as ever. Thanks DAWN for posting pictures for diaspora like us.

As a Sindhi I wish this celebration day should have not happened because of the Virus. We all know corruption in my Sindh is really bad due to convicted criminal Zadari family party PPPz and now kids, these criminals have to be rooted out from Pakistan either they have a future or Pakistan. How can one live in palaces with guard towers net worth into billions of dollars, average person don't have clean water, education and no clean hospitals. I hope my Sindhis learn quick and show them the boot.

Haters gonna hate while Sindh keep rocking, what a nice pictorial story, yesterday there was rallies passing by from here and there full with enthusiasm, but there is also a sad fact that we Urdu Speaking distance our self from our Sindhi brothers and sisters, yet we don't have any culture festival for our self's, but I hope with time being we also able to revitalize our own culture and also try to participate in others cultural festivals.

And this is the situation of the province with the highest positivity rate for covid. Other than that blocking roads through out the city and dancing in the middle of road doesn't count as celebrating culture day. This day should be used to teach masses about the rich cultural history of the province and its people.

Sindhi culture is beautiful and promotes tolerance in a time of extremism and violence. The land of Sufi saint Shah Latif Bhittai has been a cradle of great civilizations for centuries. I believe Sindhi culture goes beyond Sindhi topi and colorful ajrak - it has to address the nation's political destiny. Zaffar Baloch
