Stanford University, one of the world's most prestigious institutions, has recently released a list of 160,000 accomplished persons from around the globe, out of which 81 are from Pakistan.

This list represents the world’s top 2% scientists in multiple disciplines; all achievers on the list have been nominated based on the international evaluation of their research work, and are ranked based on either life-long citation impact of their work till the year of 2019 or the citation impact of their work for the single calendar year of 2019.

Time and again, Iqra University has made a firm global impact with remarkable achievements in different fields of research and study.

Among all other private sector universities in Pakistan, it is only Iqra University from Sindh that has made it to this distinguished list formulated by the prestigious varsity based in United States.

Put together by Prof. John Loannidis and his team of researchers at Stanford University, Dr Syed Ali Raza has been listed among the top 2% scientists under the discipline of 'Business and Management' evaluated on the basis of his research work in 2019.

Dr Syed Ali Raza is the professor of finance & research and director academics at Iqra University; he has been associated with the university since September 2011.

His competence and expertise has also been acknowledged through a special nomination by the Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform on forming an innovative financing mechanism under 'Ehsaas program', which has been initiated by the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Dr Syed Ali Raza's research work has been cited more than 3000 times in several top tier journals. In addition, he is also the editor of 'Journal of Finance and Economics Research', which publishes blind peer reviewed articles.

Dr Syed Ali Raza is also serving as a member of the editorial board of Journal of Management Sciences (Thomson Reuters Web of Science ESCI indexed journal) as an Associate Editor.
