LAKKI MARWAT: The Lakki Marwat district administration sealed around three dozen business outlets in different towns on Friday over violation of the precautions against Covid-19.

The action was initiated on the directives of deputy commissioner Abdul Haseeb under the administration’s strategy to raise awareness about the deadly disease and implement all relevant protocols to contain the pandemic. Assistant commissioner Umer Bin Riaz sealed 10 shops in the Lakki city, while additional assistant commissioner Aminullah Khan sealed 17 outlets in the Naurang town.

Additional assistant commissioner Najibullah Khan paid surprise visits to bazaars in Shahbazkhel and Darra Pezu towns to check observance of SOPs by traders. He sealed 12 shops over violations of protocols issued by the government for business outlets.

The officials also distributed free face masks among citizens and asked them to avoid visiting crowded places and follow precautions for their safety.
