United we stand

This is with reference to the article “United we stand” by Muhammad Taha Imran (YW, November 7). It is the reminder to all of us to stay together, especially in this current situation, that is the covid-19 pandemic. We should respect our doctors, paramedics and nurses as they are fighting the coronavirus on the frontline without caring of their own health.

It is our duty to follow the SOPs and stand united as one nation in these difficult times to defeat covid-19.

The power of words

This is with reference to the article “The power of words” by Sidra Hafeez (YW November 21). The writer gives a very valuable advice in the article that one should always think before speaking.

Usually, we speak without giving a second thought about what we are saying to others. Our words have the power to make or break others. If we say good things, we can make someone’s day, but if we say bad things, we can break others’ heart and spoil their day. So we must avoid words which have a negative impact.

The article “The power of words” by Sidra Hafeez was very informative and our society needs to understand this. Words are the most powerful source available to humanity, because our words can leave a huge impact it can make or break relationship, so be careful while speaking to others.

Words have energy and power with the ability to help, heal, hurt and harm.

This article gives the lesson to people that “Think before you speak”, we must discipline ourselves to speak in a way that conveys respect, gentleness and humanity.

Diving into the ocean of books

I am very glad that YW has published such a wonderful website review, “Diving into the ocean of books” by Asif Ali (November 7, 2020).

This review proved very helpful to students like me who have a keen interest in literature but can’t find a clean and proper platform that provides them deep information regarding authors and their works. But now it is possible because of “Ocean of Books” website, where anyone can read thousands of authors’ works of diverse genres.

I hope YW will be publishing such informative website reviews in the future.
