Peshawar gets new police chief

PESHAWAR: The provincial police chief on Friday appointed Abbas Ahsan the new capital city police officer.

Mr Ahsan PSP (BS-20), who was awaiting posting at the Central Police Office, has replaced Mohammad Ali Khan.

According to a notification issued here, IGP Dr Sanaullah Abbasi posted Mr Ali Khan as the deputy inspector general of police, special branch.

Meanwhile, SP investigation unit at CPO, Khan Zeb PSP (BS-20), has been transferred and posted as SP Counter-Terrorism Unit, Peshawar region.
