HYDERABAD: Jamaat-i-Islami emir Sirajul Haq has said the only solution to growing joblessness and worsening economic woes and rule of law lies in Nizam-i-Mustafa as Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government has completely failed to deliver on its promises while opposition parties have already failed in their respective terms in power.

Like the present government, two major parties in the Pakistan Democratic Movement and their allies had each played their role in getting people enslaved by IMF, he said.

He was addressing a Tahaffuz-i-Khatm-i-Nabuwwat, Namoose Ahle Bayt and Azmat-i-Sahaba conference his party had hosted here at a banquet hall on Saturday.

He urged custodians of various shrines from across Sindh and Punjab to lead movement for the enforcement of Nizam-i-Mustafa. JI had taken this initiative to gather all custodians of shrines to seek their help in struggle to save the country. Ulema often talked about bid’at (innovation) but to him the entrenched tyrannical system was the biggest bid’at in the country, he said.

‘PTI government has completely failed to deliver on its promises’

He urged the custodians to lead the struggle against this unjust system which was led by jagirdars and capitalists, who used to serve British colonial rulers.

Haq said that aristocrats had not proved their loyalty with this country’s ideology. “Their [elites] children study abroad and they run their businesses there as they possess green cards,” he said, adding that another conspiracy was afoot to turn Pakistan into the new Baghdad.

He said that the government had failed to deliver while the opposition parties had ruled the country by turns and each party had played their part in getting people enslaved by IMF.

He said that people should bring about change through Nizam-i-Mustafa. “We aspire for enforcement of caliphate in the country,” he said.

Khawaja Moinuddin Koreja of Ghulam Fareed shrine in Kot Mithan, who was patron of Ulema Mashaikh Pakistan Council, said that Pakistan was about to recognise Israel. Ulema and mashaikh should defend the country and leave sectarian differences aside for a later stage as it was time to save the country, he said.

Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan-Noorani president Sahibzada Abul Khair Mohammad Zubair said that political parties were not ready to get rid of this unjust system. Ulema and mashaikh would have to be ready for sacrificing their lives if they wanted to lead the masses.

The conference issued a joint declaration, which vowed to safeguard every clause and article of the Constitution relating to finality of prophethood and face all internal and external conspiracies in this regard.

It called for promoting religious and sectarian harmony, condemned publication of blasphemous caricatures in France and demanded an end to interest-based economy in the country.

MIRPURKHAS: The JI emir said that present government’s policies had caused a deluge of price hike and unemployment and failed to deliver on its promises made with masses during election campaign.

Talking to media persons here on Saturday, he said that PTI government had attempted to drag military into politics. Establishment should be impartial and lawmakers and politicians should take part in politics, he said.

He saw no difference between leaders in PDM and ruling party and said that both lived on the crumbs thrown to them by the establishment.
