Listening tips for online classes

This is with reference to the article, “Listening tips for online classes” by Ambreen Arshad (YW, December 05). The article was very helpful and provided key guidelines to utilise while taking online classes.

I would like to suggest that students who are taking online classes should read this article as they may be facing the same problems as discussed in the article.

Nature speaks up

The story “Nature speaks up” by Yashal Fatima was not just a story, but a bitter truth of our modern world. Humans are destroying nature in order to get profits. To run factories, we empty waste in the oceans, due to which thousands of species die. To get wood, we cut trees that provide oxygen; to run transport, we poison and impure the air that is in turn harmful to all the living things. We are destroying nature in hundreds of ways.

If we don’t take care of our beautiful earth today, things will surely get out of our hands in the future.

A memorable afternoon

This is regarding the story “A memorable afternoon” by Anusha Hussain Randhawa (YW, November 21). It was a marvellous story as it gave the message of kindness and humanity. Kindness can be as simple as a warm smile, or a word of encouragement.

Every culture and religion spreads the message of humanity, peace and love. But, unfortunately, people have become more concerned about their own well-being and nobody thinks about other people.

It is my request to all the readers to help others, especially when they are helpless and need someone the most. Helping others will give us inner happiness.

Balance is important

This is with reference to the story “Balance is important” by Linta Mustafa (YW, December 12). The story was really remarkable and gave a positive message to kids as well as adults, that having balance in life is important, especially between studies and fun.

It is rightly said that you are not smart if you are studying all the time. Actually, you are smart if you create a balance between your studies and other activities; therefore, one must keep the aspect of balance in mind.

I would like to thank the writer and YW for providing us with such a great article and wonderful material to read.
