ISLAMABAD: The PTI has formed a five-member steering committee and a nine-member special coordination committee as it started preparations for Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections. According to a press release, PTI chief organiser Saifullah Khan Nyazee issued a notification about of both the committees.

The steering committee will be responsible to oversee the process of new joining from other political parties in order to be considered for award of tickets.

Without approval and recommendation of the steering committee, no potential candidate can join the party and be eligible to apply to be considered for the party ticket.

Central Senior Vice President Arshad Dad is appointed as chairman of the committee and its members include Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Ali Amin Gandapur, PTI Azad Kashmir President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, party leaders Khawaja Farooq and Raja Mansoor.

The coordination committee will be responsible to ensure transparent preparation of voter lists. The committee will be chaired by Snior Vice President Arshad Dad. Its members include Dr Abol Hassan, Ejaz Minhas, Shahid Yousuf, Khawaja Farooq, Raja Mansoor, Saleem Butt, Chaudhry Maqbool and Tauseef Abbasi.
