LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Husain has asked the government to seriously consider the suggestions of the opposition and both should unite in the interest of the country.

“Both the government and the opposition should unite in the interest of the country. The government representatives should not make everything an issue of their ego instead they should take initiative in resolving issues,” Chaudhry Shujaat said in a statement here on Thursday.

He said that two and a half years had already passed of this government and by the passage of another year the result of this verbal bickering between the government and opposition would come to light, therefore, instead of taking matters to this level, both should move towards dialogue.

The former premier further said the situation in the country had reached a point where it had never been before. He said the PML-Q was an ally of the government and always gave sincere suggestions to it.
