SWABI: Two shops were gutted when fire broke out in a market here on Thursday, said owners of the shops and Rescue 1122 officials.

They said the fire broke out in Jamil Market in gas cylinder shops and once the cylinders started exploding it created a panic among the traders and people.

The fire brigade team reached the market and extinguished the fire before it could spread to other shops.

Haider Zaman and Zahid Khan, two owners of the shops, told mediapersons that they had suffered millions of rupees losses in the fire.

Also in the day, one Khalid Khan was killed and two other persons were injured in Managi village when two families clashed over a piece of land on Thursday.

The two families have registered FIRs against each other.
