TOBA TEK SINGH: The death toll in a crossfire between dacoits and shopkeepers in Kamalia reached three on Friday.

An alleged dacoit and shopkeepers Abdul Hafeez, of Iqbal Bazaar, Chichawatni road, were injured in a crossfire a few days ago when dacoits entered a shop to loot cash but over resistance firing was exchanged where shopkeeper Hafeez and an outlaw were killed instantly.

One of the dacoits was injured and was admitted to the Kamalia tehsil headquarters hospital where he too succumbed to his wounds.

The deceased dacoits were identified as Amer Malik, of Chak 37/12-L, Sahiwal, and Fiaz Dogar, of Chak 332-RB, Faisalabad.

A police officer said both deceased dacoits were wanted by police in different districts.
