KARACHI: Under-18 girls singles winner Natalia Zaman receives her prize from Dr. Marium Farhan Essa.

KARACHI: Young and talented Mahatir Muhammad overcame stiff challenge from brilliant Hasheesh Kumar to win the Juniors under-18 singles title 7-6, 6-2 while Asad Zaman of Lahore beat Amir Mazar 5-3, 4-2 to win the under-14 title in the 9th Essa Lab National Seniors & Juniors Tennis Championships which concluded at the Modern Club on Thursday.

Dr. Marium Farhan Essa was the chief guest at the closing ceremony while Dr. Nadia Farhan Essa was the guest of honor.

In her speech Dr Marium praised the working of Sindh Tennis Association and added that her organisation will continue to support the sports activities in the country.

Khalid Rehmani, Vice President PTF, pointed out that beach tennis was included for the first time in any national tournament in the country.
