Soldier martyred in N. Waziristan attack

NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Unidentified assailants opened firing on security forces in Azizkhel area of North Waziristan tribal district on Friday, which resulted in the martyrdom of a soldier.

Officials said that the security personnel were fetching water from a spring near the checkpost in Azizkhel area of Mirali subdivision when gunmen opened fire at them.

They said that Lance Naik Ebad Ali was martyred in the attack.

The body of the martyred soldier was shifted to the Mirali hospital. A search operation was conducted in the area, but no arrests were made.
