HYDERABAD: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) will organise a big anti-Israel rally in Karachi on Jan 21 to mount pressure on Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government, which is allegedly planning to recognise the Jewish state, say party leaders.

JUI-F Sindh information secretary Maulana Taj Mohammad Nahiyoon, flanked by Hafiz Khalid Hassan Dhamrah and Hafiz Mohammad Azam Jehangiri, said at a press conference at local press club on Monday that the party chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman would lead the rally and Pakistan Democratic Movement leadership would attend the show but it would be a JUI-F event.

Maulana Nahiyoon said that Pakistanis would never accept Israel. JUI-F had been agitating against this “incompetent” and “selected” government since July 25, 2018. The party staged Azadi march which was “exemplary” as no participant in the march smashed even a single windowpane during the protest, he said.

He said that JUI-F had adopted the democratic path of peaceful struggle. The masses would soon hear good news about ouster of this “selected” government, he said.

He said that price hike had reached its peak and oil prices had been raised twice in a month. The sick could not purchase medicines whose prices had been raised by 100 per cent and prices of essential commodities like flour, sugar, ghee, pulses and vegetables had increased substantially.

He said that education had been destroyed on the pretext of Covid pandemic and the government had failed to come up with a clear education policy. Attempts were being made to sell Sindh’s islands whereas the government’s foreign policy had been an utter failure, which became evident when Malaysia seized a Pakistani plane and reduced the country to a laughing stock in the world.

He said that PTI had been trapped in foreign funding case. If this case was pursued transparently then the entire federal government would be disqualified.

He said that PTI was a gang of “corrupt sugar and flour thieves” and urged “those who had selected Imran Khan” to dissociate themselves from him so that what he had done became crystal clear before peoples’ eyes.

He said that this bunch of incompetent rulers had sold Kashmir and cut Pakistan’s jugular vein.

He said that JUI-F did not accept prime minister’s orders of keeping seminary students away from public meetings. Every Pakistani was in his rights to exercise his democratic prerogative of protest.

He alleged that this “selected” government was trying to pave the way for recognising Israel. PTI leaders had discussed this option in different talk shows and one assembly member had even supported Israel in National Assembly to hurt feelings of Muslims. Instead of discussing freedom of Palestine the PTI government was doing politics for support of Israel.
