KHAIRPUR, Oct 8: Former District Nazim Nafisa Shah has said that a quarter of the district council was allotted to sub-engineer Tariq Mughal in 1997 but the revenue officers along with four police mobiles raided his house on Friday and illegally entered the premises of the house to get it vacated.

Speaking at a press conference here on Saturday, she condemned the action of the DCO Khairpur. She said no prior notice was given to the occupant to vacate the house but direct action was taken because his father Ghulam Hussain Mughal is a senior PPP worker.

She said the tenure had started in the district and this was the first case of victimization after polls. She said most of the people, including ADP workers, councillors and social workers feel themselves insecure.
