ISLAMABAD: The Board of Privatisation Commission (PC) was informed on Thursday that the transactions of three public sector entities — House Building Finance Corporation (HBFC), the First Women Bank and the Jinnah Convention Centre — were in advanced stages, and expression of interests (EoIs) for these entities would be invited by mid-February.

The board approved the committees for the pre-qualification of the potential bidders. The transaction structures of these three entities have already been approved by the Cabinet Committee on Privatisation (CCoP).

The financial advisers are engaged in soft marketing to attract investors, while the PC board gave its consent regarding the pre-qualification committees of all the three entities.

About the status of SME Bank, Services International Hotel, Jinnah Convention Centre and the Heavy Electric Complex, the board was informed that the privatisation of these entities will be completed before June 30.
