LAHORE: The Punjab government is holding its 40th cabinet meeting with 25 items on its agenda at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Monday (today) at 11am.

The Board of Revenue has on its agenda yet again the provision of alternate land for Army Welfare Scheme against 1,626-acre and two kanal situated in Bhakkar district; and establishment of a new tehsil “Chowk Sarwar Shaheed” in Muzaffargarh district.

The S&GAD department has on its agenda the establishment of permanent secretariat for the Council of Common Interests (CCI); amendments in the Ravi Urban Development Authority Act, 2020; and utilization of remaining loan amount issued to the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) for ancillary purposes of Ravi Riverfront Urban Development Project (RRUDP).

The IDAP has on its agenda engagement of Infrastructure Development Authority of the Punjab in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The energy department has a proposal on cabinet’s agenda that Chinese Yuan be used for denominating foreign currency transactions in Pakistan through amendment in Power Generation Policy 2015.

The housing department has reflected establishment of Sialkot Development Authority; draft legislative proposal for establishment of the Lahore Central Business District Development Authority; The Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority rules 2020 and regularization of contract employees of the Public Health Engineering department.

The higher education department has on its agenda the establishment of Thal University at Bhakkar. The Forest, Wildlife and Fisheries department has plans to discuss its Punjab Urban and Peri-Urban Forest Policy 2020. The Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Department has on its agenda – “Universal Health Coverage – Implementation of health insurance for cent per cent population of Punjab”. The Excise and Taxation department has proposal on its agenda that the collection of Motor Vehicle Taxes by post offices should be discontinued.
