KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) central vice president Haleem Adil Sheikh here on Tuesday assumed the charge of Leader of the Opposition in Sindh Assembly.

In his statement, Mr Sheikh thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan and party leadership for reposing confidence in him.

He also thanked allied parties for their support.

He said he would prove himself not only the voice of opposition, but also the voice of whole Sindh.

“For the past 13 years, basic problems of Sindh are not resolved and only progress is made in corruption and amassing of assets by PPP leaders,” he claimed.

He said he would fight for the rights of labourers of Ghotki and haris of Larkana and businessmen of Karachi.

He said PTI leader Firdous Shamim Naqvi was an old companion of Imran Khan and he would get a responsibility in the centre soon.
