District East win Talent Hunt Hockey League

KARACHI: District East overcame stiff challenge from District West to win 6-4 on penalty shootout and clinch the Talent Hunt Inter District Warmup Hockey League at the KHA Sports Complex in Gulshan-e-Iqbal on Wednesday. Both the teams were tied 3-3 in regulation time.

The 13-year-old Mohib Alvi from District West was declared the best player of the tournament. Goal Keeper Bilal Khan from District East was declared as Man of the Match. The final award of cash prize Rs3,000 was presented by youth club Secretary Mustafa Jameel.

Salahuddin Ahmed, Additional Secretary, Government of Sindh, was the chief guest in the final and gave away the prizes. Shazaib Khan captain of the winning team District East received the trophy in the presence of Olympian Hanif Khan, Arif Bhopali, KHA’s Gulfaraz Ahmed Khan, Dr S.A. Majid, Aijazuddin, Haider Hussain and others.
