SAHIWAL was given the status of a division in 2008, but it still lacks in certain facilities even after the passage of 13 long years. For instance, examinations conducted by the Federal Public Service Commission and the Punjab Public Service Commission are not conducted in Sahiwal.

The candidates who want to appear in these competitions have to opt for sitting the examinations in other cities. The institutions that conduct these examinations may hold them in the division by simply selecting educational institutions in Sahiwal and ensuring the transportation of examination papers to these centres.
