Brother of senior cops shot dead in Turbat

GWADAR: A brother of two senior police officers has been gunned down in Turbat town of Kech district.

Police said Hafiz Abdul Karim was attacked in the Satellite town area when he was going home after attending a ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day’ function in Turbat. The attackers managed to escape.

The victim died on the spot as he received multiple bullet wounds.

Police rushed to the site and took the body to the district hospital for autopsy.

After completing medico-legal formalities, the body was handed over to his family.

The elder brothers of the deceased — Khalid Dashti and Hussain Dashti — are SHO Pasni and Sub-Inspector in the Special Branch, respectively.

Police registered a case and started investigation.

No one has claimed responsibility for the killing.
