ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI: A man was found murdered in the rural area of the capital while an elderly man was shot dead during a clash in Rawalpindi on Friday.

Passersby found the body of a man, in his mid-20s, lying in a field in Koral and informed the police.

Nothing was found on the body to identify him, said the police. Evidence suggested that he was shot dead from behind.

Fingerprints of the deceased were taken and sent to Nadra for identification.

Meanwhile, a 65-year-old man was gunned down and three others were injured in a clash between two families in Naseerabad, Rawalpindi.

The man killed in the clash was identified as Mohammad Ilyas, resident of New Chakra. The injured were his son Mohammad Azhar, 30, Azra Bibi, 40, and Khalida Bibi, 60.
