Fund-raising walk in Sargodha

SARGODHA, Oct 11: A private law college, in collaboration with the district bar association, held a walk to collect donations for quake-hit people on Tuesday. The walk was led by tehsil nazim-elect Malik Shoaib Awan, PMA General Secretary Dr Skindar Hayat Warriach and DBA chief Malik Saleem Akhtar Katchela.

The walk started from the college campus and was joined by a large number of lawyers. Kutchery Bazaar traders gave generous donations when the participants reached there.

Rotary Club’s acting head Mukhtar Mirza, along with the law college students and faculty members also motivated the traders to contribute in the relief fund.

Malik Shoaib lauded the walk organizers for motivating the people to extend help to the quake victims.

He urged the people to participate in relief activities forgetting mutual difference. He donated Rs25,000 in the fund.
