DACCA: The Awami League chief, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and ... Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, had their third round of talks on national and constitutional issues here today [Feb 15]. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who addressed the joint session of the members of the National and the East Pakistan Assemblies here this morning, went to Nawab Bugti’s hotel room.... They are understood to have discussed the present political, economic and national affairs with particular reference to foreign affairs....
Later ... Nawab Bugti said he was fully satisfied with the talks he had with the Awami League chief during his stay here. He reaffirmed his full support to the six- and eleven-point programmes. He said that he would not only support the realisation of six- and eleven-point programmes for East Pakistan but for all the provinces of West Pakistan as well. Pleading for full autonomy for all the provinces, he said that the people of Baluchistan would not accept any sort of confederation in West Pakistan. He hoped that the six- and eleven-point programmes will facilitate full provincial autonomy which could be achieved through a ... democratic manner. If the rights of the people were sabotaged at any quarter, he declared that the people would take the future course of action in their [own] hands....
