Traffic jams

Published February 24, 2021

TRAFFIC jams have become a routine matter for the people of Karachi. There are multiple factors at play that cause traffic jams in various parts of the city.

Despite the best efforts on the part of traffic wardens, people are more often than not left stranded in vehicles on roads for hours. From encroachments to wrong parking, and from dilapidated to narrow roads, there are many reasons why travelling on any road has become difficult for the residents of the metropolis.

And while bridges have been constructed to ease vehicular flow, it is astonishing to see massive traffic jams on various bridges across the city at different hours of the day.

The traffic personnel should come up with a plan to ensure there are no traffic jams on bridges that are already in a shabby state. The government needs to take pre-emptive measures to avoid any untoward incident.
