KARACHI: Top teams Askari Club and Bounce Club stormed into the basketball semifinals played on Thursday after defeating their rivals in the quarters during the ongoing Honda Atlas Power Cup at the Arambagh-Abdul Nasir courts.

Bounce Club dominated the first quarter-final but Usman Club fought gallantly in a thrilling contest to go down 34-32. Zia Ahmed (10 pts) and Mohsin (9 pts) were the main scorers for the winners.

In the other quarter-final, Askari Club completely outplayed One Unit Club 60-45. Anas Usman (19 pts) was brilliant on the court, scoring four three-pointers while Mohammad Taha (18 pts) and Saifullah Nausherwani (17 pts) also played superbly for the winning team.
