NAROWAL: A farmer captured and killed a seven and a half feet long cobra snake in Fatiwali Syedan on Saturday.

Asad Musa said poisonous snakes are found in village fields.

Locals Faiz and Mohsin Ali said snakes had bitten more than a dozen animals and eaten chickens.

Asad said he heard the hissing in a field when the snake was 50 feet away. The snake had been spotted on streets several times.

Locals say they contacted the wildlife department on phone so that the reptile be handed over to them but after getting no response, the villagers killed it.
