CHAGAI: The National Database and Registration Authority has started investigation into a video that went viral on social media showing some people in Kharan pelting a Nadra van with stones.

According to sources, the video was recorded on Wednesday in the Barshonki area where local residents broke the Nadra van’s glasses after seeing some alleged Afghan refugees sitting in a car with tinted glasses.

The protesters accused Nadra of trying to register Afghan refugees in return for illegal gratification.

A Nadra official told Dawn: “We have initiated an investigation and necessary action will be taken against those found responsible.”
