GUJRANWALA: District and Sessions Judge Hamayon Imtiaz got the court room of Civil Judge Tajjammal Hussain Hanjra sealed after his positive coronavirus report on Monday.

The civil judge had been sick for a few days.

ACCIDENT: A car ran over and killed three people and left four others wounded on Sargodha-Hafizabad Road on Monday.

According to reports, the drivers of two cars carrying wedding guests were trying to overtake each other when near Kot Mubarik, one of them could not control the car and ran over Ghulam Abbas, Zaheer, and Awais. The car fell into a roadside ditch and as a result, four car riders were also injured. They were shifted to the hospital.

CASE: The additional district and session judge of Wazirabad on Monday declared a PML-N leader in a double murder case innocent.

According to reports, on the occasion of the by-election in Wazirabad on March 23, 2016, two youngsters were shot dead in a clash between two parties. A case was registered against 22 people, including PML-N leader Ejaz Ahmad Proya. Additional District Sessions Judge Syed Hassan Abbas acquitted Mr Proya of the charge for the lack of evidence.

RAILWAY: In Gujranwala, the railway police registered a case against 20 people for receiving a bribe to allow the people to occupy the railway land.

Railway SHO Saeed Roasol told the media that some of the people with the connivance of railway employees let the people establishedencroachments on railway land. During the investigation, the police came to know that some people were receiving monthly amounts from the encroachers.

The SHO said a case was registered against 20 people.
