LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court on Thursday recorded the statement of the motorway gang-rape incident survivor during the proceedings held in Camp Jail.

The police and a special prosecution team brought the woman and her children to the jail for her testimony.

Presiding Judge Arshad Hussain Bhutta observed that it was not appropriate to record the statements of children.

The woman recorded her statement and also identified the suspects present in the court. The court also recorded the statements of nine more prosecution witnesses and adjourned further hearing till March 13.

Gujjarpura police had lodged the FIR No.1369/20 under sections 376, 392 and 427 of Pakistan Penal Code and section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997.

The suspects had sexually assaulted the woman, a Pakistan origin French woman, in front of her three minor children after dragging her out from a car that stopped during the late night travel on the motorway after fuel ran out.
