QUETTA: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam has said that six cities of Balochistan have been included in the Prime Minister’s Clean Green Pakistan project.

Talking to reporters here on Thursday, Mr Aslam said that under the project 10 billion trees were being planted across the country and more than 100,000 volunteers had been registered for the purpose.

He said that after the 18th Amendment, the cleaning work and tree plantation was the responsibility of the provincial governments, but the federal government was working closely with the provincial governments to create a comprehensive garbage disposal system etc to make the country clean. He said the project had a budget allocation of Rs24 billion.
