Homework, a nightmare or a blessing?

This is regarding the article “Homework, a nightmare or a blessing” by Kulsoom Rahimtoola (YW, January 30). The article highlighted the benefits of doing homework with diligence.

Homework is an important part of learning because it improves our study skills and memory. Most students don’t like doing homework, but it they should realise how important homework is.

I request the YW magazine to keep publishing such amazing content which give a good message/advice to students.

Haste makes waste!

This is with reference to the cover article “Haste makes waste!” by Benazir Raz (YW, February 27). The write-up covered a very crucial topic that we must pay attention to.

No doubt, haste makes waste, which means doing something too quickly could result in disaster. Being in a hurry usually takes away our ability to focus because we are obsessed with doing things quickly. This results in a lot of mistakes for all our efforts, materials and so forth get wasted.

So, as students, it is necessary to have the habit of planning with patience and working carefully in getting things done, we should never do anything in haste.

Cricket fever once again!

This is with reference to the cover story “Cricket fever once again!” by Hassan Shahid, (YW, February 20). I am a huge fan of cricket and PSL makes us so happy. Me and my brother, we both support Karachi Kings.

The write up well described the real meaning of PSL and the new players who have been selected. I appreciate all the contributors of Young World as they help make my favourite magazine awesome!

Readers are leaders!

This is regarding the story “Readers are leaders” by Laiba Khan (YW, February 27). I really enjoyed reading this article.

The writer has rightly pointed out that children who develop the habit of book reading perform well in life because reading enhances observation, memory and many other abilities of our mind.

Hence, I would like to advice my fellow readers of the magazine to spend time on reading, than wasting time on social media.
