Solarisation at famous tourist resort completed in Kohat

KOHAT: The famous tourist hilly trail resort of Allah Hu has been solarised from Gulshanabad in Kohat up to Kotal Top and Allah Hu Trail covering a distance of six kilometres with the assistance of IXth division of the Pakistan Army.

The site had been donated by a tribe of Darra Adamkhel subdivision to the government free of cost.

Advisor to the chief minister, MPA Ziaullah Bangash, inaugurated the solarisation project on Saturday and thanked the Bostikhel tribe of Darra Adamkhel which owned half of the mountain for providing a trail site for the resort.

Speaking on the occasion, the adviser said that with the fall of night the tourists had to come down, but now they would take full pleasure of the resort.

CM’s adviser says the site will now attract more tourists

The lights of Kohat city and other areas looked like stars from the Kotal Top.

He said that the site would attract more tourists who would enjoy the pleasant weather and beautiful scenes.

He said the scenic resort took hours to climb where the IXth divison of Pakistan Army and the provincial tourism department were working on more projects to facilitate the tourists.

A restaurant has also been opened at the Kotal Top where rush of people could be witnessed soon after evening.

The 6.9-kilometre track had been carved out on the three tiers of mountains between Kohat and Darra Adamkhel, and it starts from Kotal Pass.

For a few meters it is levelled and a parking place has been established from where people start on foot to climb the mountains.

TRAINING CAMP: A one-day training camp was held for the pigeon fliers by a tutor specially called from Rawalpindi to Jawaki Banda in Darra Adamkhel subdivision on Saturday.

The trainer Haji Maqsood gave training on how to feed and fly the pigeons in championships.

The selected trainees Wajid Mir, Aftab Khan and Tariq Khan were given training by a local master Zahid Khan and the visiting trainer, Haji Maqsood. It was decided to hold championships on March 21 and 28.
