RAWALPINDI: In its ongoing drive against encroachment and unauthorised buildings and shops, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has sealed three shops in different parts of the city.

The Land Development and Estate Management (LD&EM) staff conducted the operation against illegal encroachment in residential areas of Ghazni Colony and Bagh Sardaran.

These shops were allegedly illegally constructed on Plot No. 147 and in an occupied open place by a local in violation of Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976.

An RDA spokesman said the RDA staff had been issued directives by the Punjab government to take strict action against encroachment.
