LAKKI MARWAT: Four bullet-riddled bodies were recovered from a field in Janikhel area of Bannu district on Sunday.

The police said local residents after spotting four graves in the fields, dug out four bodies from them. They said the deceased had been shot dead.

The bodies were shifted to the district headquarters hospital. The deceased were identified as Atifullah, Razimullah, Mohammad Rahim and Ahmad, residents of Bandikhel Janikhel area. They had been missing for last three weeks.

The police said the bodies were handed over to relatives after fulfilling medico-legal formalities.

They registered a case and began further investigations.
