KARACHI: The Meteorological department has forecast hot and dry weather for next two days as temperature rose further to 39.1 degrees Celsius on Friday.

Maximum temperature recorded on Thursday was 38.1 degrees Celsius.

“It’s the dry continental air that has landed across the country blocking sea breeze and causing rise in temperature in the city,” said Sardar Sarfaraz of the Met department, adding that usually the weather started getting warm in Karachi by the end of March.

The temperature might drop for a brief period but would rise again from coming Tuesday and remain within range of 38 and 39 degrees Celsius, he added.

Minimum temperature recorded on Friday was 20 degrees Celsius while relative humidity ranged between 48 and 10 per cent.
