KHAIRPUR, Oct 16: Former District Nazim Nafisa Shah has said she is in touch with young leaders of the world group for carrying out relief work in earthquake-hit areas.

Ms Shah, who is a member of the group, said the youngsters from all over the world were part of the group.

Talking to newsmen at a relief camp set up by the PPP at the civic centre chowk here on Saturday, she said there was a need to construct earthquake-proof buildings in the affected areas.

She said top priority should be to train individuals and organizations in order to mitigate such natural calamities successfully.

DROWN: An eight-year-old boy Deedar Ali Lund drowned in the Rohri canal near Gadeji, Sobhodero taluka, as he slipped into the canal while grazing the cattle. The body could not be fished out despite hectic efforts till Saturday.

KILLED: One person was killed and three others seriously injured in a head on collision between two motorcycles.

Two motorcycles collided Bhelar Wada village link road near Gadeji, Sobhodero taluka, on Friday evening due to which four persons namely, Talib Hussain Khokhar, Saif Ali Bhailar, Mohammad Budhal Bhelar and Ajan Bhelar were seriously injured.
