CHITRAL: A class-9 student of a local school allegedly ended his life by shooting himself in Ochusht village of Chitral town here on Saturday.

The police identified the deceased as Kaleemullah, 14, and said that they had started investigations into the case.

BAR POLLS: PML-N nominee Niaz A Niazi advocate defeated PTI-backed candidate Nabek Sharakat advocate in the elections of District Bar Association (DBA), Chitral, and secured the top slot of president here on Saturday.

The winner, Niazi advocate, polled 49 votes against 26 of Sharakat advocate. Other office-bearers include Sajidullah advocate vice-president, Khadimul Akbar general secretary and Jahan Zeb finance secretary, who had already been elected unopposed.
