KARACHI: Separated by just a single run, Sindh High Court (SHC) Green were crowned champions of the first Jamil Ahmed Invitation Colour-kit T20 cricket even here the other day.

In the final against Pakistan Lawyers at the TMC Ground, SHC Green rode on man-of-the-match Asghar Raza’s fine 52 (36 balls, four fours and three sixes) to post 145-8. Spinner Rehman Malik grabbed 3-26.

Pakistan Lawyers, in reply, ended up making 144-9 as SHC Green skipper Sajid Peecheo claimed 3-24.

Ex-PCB governing body member and former KCCA president Prof Ejaz Ahmed Faruqi was the chief guest and distributed prizes in a simple ceremony which was also attended by Jamil Ahmed, Nadeem Sheikh, Imtiaz Taj and tournament director Muhammad Ibrahim.

Sajid was adjudged best al-rounder of the competition with Vinod Ramesh and Ahmed Sadiq bagging the best batsman and bowlers awards, respectively.
