THE WEEK THAT WAS

Raqs-i-Bismil | Hum TV, Fridays 8.00pm

Currently, Hashim Nadeem’s story is all over the place. Conservative and emotional Moosa (Imran Ashraf) is now planting punches as the bodyguard of a somewhat shady businesswoman Laila (Zara Sheikh), who has a messed-up marriage. Moosa’s brother Eesa (Momin Saqib) is getting very curious to find out who the woman is whose honour Moosa saved. For if it wasn’t Zohra (Sarah Khan), whom Moosa loves to death, who was the mysterious woman? Fun will happen when Eesa finds out it was his wife Sakina (Anoushey Abbasi), who Moosa has now saved twice from deep trouble. Fed up with her low-life husband Malik (Furqan Qureshi) using her as bait to please business contacts, Zohra finally slaps her husband’s friend who behaves inappropriately with her. When is Moosa coming to protect the love of his life Zohra from her evil husband?

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 | Geo TV, Fridays 8.00pm

Leaving his family, and the girl-next-door Naheed (Momina Iqbal) crying buckets for him, in Lahore, Fahad (Feroze Khan) settles down in Bahawalpur, at the feudal lord Kazim Shah’s (Usman Peerzada) haveli — all because of his one-sided dosti with Shah’s daughter Mahi (Iqra Aziz). Not just that, Fahad has won the approval of Kazim Shah’s arrogant son Nazim Shah (Sohail Sameer), who rewards Fahad generously. But so smitten is Fahad with Mahi that he doesn’t care about material gains. Mahi takes a big risk in her conservative haveli set-up to be with Fahad alone when he is driving her to college, just to tell him that she wants him to go back to where he has come from, and Mahi’s indifference comes as an eye-opener for Fahad who lives in la la land. Little does Fahad know that there is much more to contend with, as Bahawalpur’s most eligible and handsome bachelor Taimoor Shah (Mirza Zain Baig) has sent a proposal for Mahi, which her family is swooning over.

What To Watch Out For

Pehli Si Mohabbat | ARY, Saturdays 8.00pm

The much-maligned (for belonging to the red-light area) stepmother Nargis (Rabia Butt) finally wins over Rakhshi’s (Maya Ali) heart after pushing away the bullying neighbour Niggi Baji from Rakhshi’s life. After receiving three sharp slaps from elder brother Akram (HSY in full glory) for breaking his engagement, and hence bringing dishonour to the family, Aslam (Sheheryar Munawar) gets lucky when his mother Yasmin (Saba Faisal) pushes Aslam’s case for taking a proposal to Faizullah’s (Shabbir Jan) house for his daughter Rakhshi. Akram relents but refuses to partake in the formalities, while a gobsmacked Faizullah hears what Yasmin has to say. We can’t wait to see what will now go wrong for Rakhshi and Aslam!
