LAHORE: A man shot dead his sister, sister-in-law and a neighbor in the Nawankot area here on Monday.

The incident occurred in Sikandaria Colony where Bilal assassinated three people and also injured his brother and mother.

A police official said they had arrested Bilal and seized the weapon used in the attack.

He claimed the suspect was an addict and he went out of control whenhe demanded money from his sister-in-law, Uzma Neelam, to buydrugs but she admonished him.

He exchanged heated arguments with her, and later his sister Maria also joined the brawl and admonished him.

Meanwhile, Bilal’s mother and his brother asked him to leave the house. On this, the suspect returned with a pistol and opened fire at them, the police official said.

The footage of the incident shows the suspect running after the family members and a neighbour in the street with the pistol in his hand. He said as his neighbour rushed to the site to overpower him, Bilal also injured him.

The police said the suspect was also addicted to PUBG, anonline game. He used to tell his family he had lost money online and that he wanted to become a PUBG star.

Police and Rescue 1122 teams shifted the injured people to a hospital where three of them were received dead.

The bodies were shifted to the city morgue for an autopsy.

Chief Minister Usman Buzdar took notice of the incident and sought a report from the capital city police officer into the incident.
