KARACHI: Victorious Arambagh Club players are seen with chief guest Salahuddin Ahmed and senior sports officials after the SSB Cup final on Sunday.

KARACHI: Arambagh Club edged past Usman Club 45-43 in a nerve tingling final to win the SSB Pakistan Day Cup basketball tournament here at the Arambagh-Abdul Nasir court on Sunday.

Mohammad Razi and Saad Salahuddin scored 14 points each to lead the attack for the winners.

Later he also presented special awards among outstanding players of the event.

For the losing side, the main scorers were Saad Shamsi (12) and Faizan Sheikh (10).

Additional Secretary Sindh Salahuddin Ahmed was the chief guest on the occasion and distributed the prizes.

Razi was declared man-of-the-final while Danial Marwat, Mohammad Maaz, Yash Kumar and Andrew Turner were named as leading players.

For the girls event, the awards went to winners Neighbourhood Club captain Rija Safdar and runner-up team Adambagh Club captain Rafiya Khalid.

Special awards were given to Fabeha Tariq, Amna Khalid, Amna Ashraf, Anamta Sultan and Muntibah Sultan.
