Old enmity claims five lives in Karak

KARAK: Five people, a passer-by among them, were killed when rival groups clashed over an old enmity in Darshakhel area of Shnawa Guddikhel union council here on Tuesday.

Police officials said as a result of the firing, two brothers, Waqar and Akhter, from one group, two cousins, Mohammad Jafar and Ihsanullah, from the other side, and a passer-by identified as Mohammad Ayub, sustained critical injuries.

They were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Takht-i-Nusrati, where all of them were pronounced as brought dead.

The police registered FIR of the incident, and were making raids to arrest the culprits, who managed to escape the area.
