SWABI: The Swabi police on Friday arrested another suspect in the murder case of Anti-Terrorism Court judgeAftab Afridi and his three family members, said district police officer Mohammad Shoaib Khan.

Addressing a press conference here, the DPO identified the suspect as Bilal Afridi and said his name was not mentioned in the FIR, but he had been arrested on the basis of circumstantial evidence collected by the district police through technical experts. He said Bilal was arrested from Peshawar in a raid by Swabi police.

Answering a question, he said the suspect along with Aziz and Daud, the two people arrested earlier, was present in the car which had already been seized by the police.

The DPO said Bilal had admitted during preliminary investigation that he was present in the car at the time of incident.

He said the other accused would also be arrested soon.

Mr Shoaib said Bilal was a close relative of SCBA president Abdul Latif Afridi who had already been granted interim bail in the case.

Meanwhile, unidentified assailants killed a man near Kala village graveyard here on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Shamas Zaman, a resident of Tand Koi village. The police have registered an FIR against unknown people.
