Atif among four sworn in as ministers in KP

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman administered oath to the four newly-inducted ministers into the provincial cabinet during a ceremony held at the Governor’s House here on Tuesday.

Those who took oath included Atif Khan, Fazal Shakoor Khan, Shakeel Ahmed Khan and Faisal Amin Gandapur.

Atif Khan and Shakeel Khan were earlier sacked from the provincial cabinet, while Faisal Amin Gandapur, the brother of federal minister Ali Amin Gandapur, and Fazal Shakoor Khan have been included in the cabinet for the first time.

Portfolios of the new ministers are yet to be notified.

Atif Khan had earlier served as minister for tourism, while Shakeel Khan was minister for revenue.

The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, provincial ministers Shahram Khan Tarakai, Ishtiaq Urmar, Shaukat Yousafzai, Akbar Ayub Khan, Anwar Zeb, special assistant to CM Kamran Bangash, MPAs, chief secretary Dr Kazim Niaz and administrative secretaries of different departments.
