MUZAFFARGARH: A three-year-old girl was killed by two women fake faith healers at village Shah Jamal on Saturday.

According to the first information report (FIR), Muhammad Ejaz was not home while his daughter Umera (3) was ill on April 12. His wife and mother went to women faith healers, Rukhsana and Zulekha, who tortured the minor girl and injured her seriously. The girl died after some time due to the injuries.

Ejaz said his wife and mother asked the faith healers to hand them over the dead body but they said Umera was possessed by a djinn and their whole house was haunted. They told the child’s mother and grandmother to go home. Later, they sent the body of the child to her family and asked the family members to bury her at midnight immediately; otherwise, the djinn would attack the whole family.

Ejaz said he came to know about the death and the whole story of the faith healers on his return to his home.

The Shah Jamal police registered a case against both the suspects.

POLICE: Regional Police Officer Muhammad Faisal Rana, Commissioner Dera Ghazi Khan Muhammad Irshad Hussain and District Police Officer Muhammad Hassan Iqbal met the police officials injured during the protests of the Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP). They distributed appreciation certificates and cash prizes among the officials for bravely controlling the TLP protesters and opening the roads.
